You can now use Microsoft Stream to make recordings of your screen, so you can record screen demos without the need to download and install 3rd party software.

In order to use it, after signing in to Office 365, on the front page select Stream (if it's not listed, click All apps, to find it).

Click the 'Create' menu, and select Record screen.

Your browser will prompt you to allow access to your microphone and camera, if you ant to add your voice or camera to the recording you'll need to allow this.

Next you'll see the recording window.

In the bottom left corner you'll have the option to turn the camera and microphone on or off.

After clicking the record button a window will appear with 3 options, allowing you to choose what you would like to record.

The first is your entire screen, which includes all windows and your desktop.

The second lets you select a single application to record (web browser, Word, Excel, etc.).

The final option allows you to record a single tab from the web browser.

You'll be presented with a list of tabs, select the one you'd like to record, and click share.

For this Chrome tab option, while recording if you switch to a different tab, the new tab won't be recorded, the recording of the original tab will continue in the background.

A bar will appear at the top of the browser on all tabs, allowing you to stop recording at any time.

After selecting your one of the three options, click share.

You will see a message counting down until the recording starts.

Once the recording starts, the window below will be shown on the Stream page, you can now carry on with the tasks you want to record.

A toolbar will appear at the bottom of the screen while you are recording. When you have finished, click Stop sharing.

Once you have finished the recording, the Review recording window (shown below), will be displayed

You can play the video, discard the video by clicking the cross in the top right corner, or record again by clicking the link in the bottom left corner.

If the video is OK, click Upload to Stream.

While the video uploads you can enter details and set sharing permissions on the video.

After the video is ublished, you can find it in your videos in Stream.
