STAFF - Accessing your computer from off campus

Please contact the network team if you need access to your computer from offsite. Once registered please follow the instructions below.

1. Go to https://vpn.kendal.ac.uk:4432/

2. Sign in with your normal network credentials

3. If this is the first time accessing the portal, you'll need to register for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Download the Sophos Authenticator to a smart device from your app store, Google Play / Apple App Store.

4. Start the authenticator app on your device and scan the QR code

5. Click on Proceed with login. The normal username and password login screen is presented again, enters your username and password, but this time add the 6 digit number to the end of your password. For example if your password was ilovechocolate you would enter ilovechocolate526458. The number shown in the app chances every 30 seconds, do not use remember my password.

6. Select HTML5 VPN Portal

7. Select your computer, and sign in again with your normal username( the 6 digit code is not needed at the point).

Once you have finished your session, log out. DO NOT SHUTDOWN
