Using your laptop as your phone

With the 3CX extension you can manage your office calls directly from your browser. No matter which window or tab you’re working on, the extension will notify you of an incoming call. Should you need to transfer a call you can check the status of your colleagues before transferring the call to them.

1. Search your emails for the 3cx welcome email, recommended search terms (3cx account)
2. Within this email is your extension and password to access the online phone system, there is also a link on the myday home page, called Phone Book 

3. Log in with these credentials. You’ll only need to log in once.
4. In the top left corner select Install 3cx Browser Extension, and follow the guide to install the app, selecting add to Chrome or Edge.

5. Once installed, return to the window showing all the college numbers and select Activate your 3cx Browser Extension

6. Your new phone client will then pop up. You can access this at any time by clicking on the blue phone icon in your browser

From the phone client you can access all the numbers in college, check your voicemails and make calls externally as well as internal call. Click the green box in the top right to change your status so your not disturbed.
